Route Nationale
italian version

Travel is like harvest.
Once returned from a distant place, you open your basket and do not worry if most of the crops are not visible: perfumes, music, faces, landscapes. And stories.
(Erik Orsenna)

The Route Nationale passes through several countries of French-speaking Africa and connects the capital to the border. One thousand three hundred kilometres through Benin and Burkina Faso in a series of shots from a car window, focusing on the relationship between the immensity of nature and the microscopic humanity inhabiting it. A reflection that tries to guess at the trails these small lives are travelling along, populating this land every day.
